The BCGD organizes briefings and programs which bring together thought leaders from the public and private sectors to engage in dialogue about global development.

Examples of BCGD programming include:

Future Forum Series featuring discussions on larger issues affecting our member companies with political, business and opinion leaders. A recent session included ten Members of Congress, the CEO of AstraZeneca, the Chairman of Product RED, NGO leaders and top advisors to the Obama / Biden campaign.
Regular engagement with Members of Congress and staff and senior Executive Branch officials to address the debate on globalization and develop a new and sustainable economic policy agenda built around effective capacity building assistance, partnerships, and expanded trade and investment.
Stakeholder engagement sessions with NGOs, civil society and development agencies.
Policy development on international trade, investment and economic policy, rule of law, environment and sustainability, intellectual property and related topics.
Ambassadors’ Forum Series to engage with members of the diplomatic community to discuss trade, investment, development, governance and business climate issues.
Funders’ Dialogues with development agencies (including AID, OPIC, TDA and others) and international financial institutions (including the World Bank/IFC) aimed at building better partnerships and cooperation with the business community and sharing best practices.
